I figured ok I don't mind a new toolbox.Īfter the exchange I instantly noticed that the new one did not have lid support hinge as the old one did, which I am guessing is because they changed the design of the the lid hinge to not allow the lid to freely tilt back. I called Home Depot and tried to get a new tray but they said I had to replace the whole toolbox and tray. It worked well for some time until the tray started to warp in shape and then broke. ![]() The box is a good size with nice size wheels and a retractable handle which is great. I bought this mobile tool box when I needed to travel to work on my mother's house who passed away. Home Depot, if you are reading, please bring back the straps!!! With the straps, it's a 5-star product. Lastly, I went to Aisle 15 Bay EC2 to check the in-store stock of these tool boxes lo and behold, none of the in-stock boxes had the straps. ![]() Note that the 2nd official product pic posted by Home Depot clearly shows those straps the pic I've attached here is simply an annotated version of that 2nd product pic. ![]() However, the associate was not aware of ever seeing straps for the tool box. I spoke with the Home Depot associate and explained about how the tool box I bought in 2019 had straps, and I asked if maybe the straps had simply not been installed in some step along the way, for example the in-store assembly just prior to purchase. However, when I picked up the box this time, the straps were again missing! So I returned the box, giving the reason that the straps were missing. I bought another of these boxes in 2020 via an online order with store pickup, and the straps were simply missing!
